Casket town at the back of beyond
The hero of this film is Otaru, small coastal town on Hokkaido Island. Japan and West, the old and the modern, spirit of province and the vast of seaways, everyday life and fairy tales are marvelously mixed here. Here steam-clock keeps time of eternity; the sun is reflected by thousands glares from the wonderful glass works; and old world music resounds everywhere. Otaru is one more of the unusual places in the land of the Rising Sun. The film awarded Russian Grand Prix of the 3th International Amateur Videofilm Festival "Fish Eye" in the 2005 year. The film is subtitled in Japanese.
