Dancekool's and City of Sydney's Chinese New Year Twilight Parade
In this clip Dancekool's Students are Dancing down George St, passing by QVB, Sydney Town Hall, Events Cinemas, Maccas and 3 Wise Monkeys. For one day of the year, the main streets of Sydney are closed for the City of Sydney Chinese New Year Twilight Parade. The Streets are open to the people of Sydney. The whole parade is 30 mins route from the Cnr of Castlereagh St and Park St, snaking it way though the main streets of Sydney CBD, George St, Goulburn St, Sussex St, Hay St and Finishing outside the Entertainment Centre. Students participating trained for weeks to get the routine down pat and be physically fit fo the demanding 30 mins performance (performing the 3 mins routine about 10 times). Awesome job crew, A high Energy performance from Start to Finish. Can't wait for Next Year.

Style on the streets and beaches of Sydney. Showing how the notion of 'style' is variable - depending on 1) the identity of the individual, and 2) the environment in which they are in. It's not rocket science, but it's interesting to see. Video produced, shot and edited by Robin James - January 2012. Music (with permission) - "Unstoppable". Spend an evening at Harbourside feasting on succulent seafood, hearty steaks or Asian fusion as fireworks light up the sky from 9pm. Note Another display by Foti Fireworks. Pretty much the same as last week but they only used 1 pontoon instead of 4. If you could see in the video, there is a stage. This stage is going to be used on Australia Day with singers and other people.... Great display this and so will on Australia Day. Australia Day..... the largest Darling Harbour fireworks display for this year. See you then on Thursday.

The Big Dipper was a wooden roller coaster operating at Luna Park Sydney from 1935 until 1979. It was demolished in 1981. First constructed in 1930 to an American design, the wooden Big Dipper roller coaster was a mainstay of Luna Park Glenelg during its four years of operation. The ride was dismantled and shipped to Sydney when the Glenelg park went into voluntary liquidation in 1934, and became the biggest attraction of the newly-opened Luna Park Milsons Point (which was later renamed Luna Park Sydney).

Spend an evening at Harbourside feasting on succulent seafood, hearty steaks or Asian fusion as fireworks light up the sky from 9pm. Note Another great display at Darling Harbour. I wasn't standing where I normally stand. I moved to a location where I can hear the music soundtrack which the fireworks are choreographed to. I might stand there permanently or temporary for a long time. Foti Fireworks has produced these fireworks and will probably do so for most of the year. There was one thing different... There was rain. It started raining about 3 quarters of the display. Rain didn't stop. It just got heavier. During the finale, that's when the rain reached its peak. People were running for cover. Pretty interesting. I might be mistaken but I think this was the first time it rained during fireworks in Darling Harbour since Australia Day 2009 but I might be mistaken............... Now that I think about it... I'm pretty sure there was rain during a display.... can't remember when though. Anyway See you next week.

Sydney City Council's claims that cyclists wanted the College St separated bike path seem to be in tatters. Its a big white elephant; they must be regretting the day spending $10m/klm on a bike path were cyclists prefer the road Councils claim to build a cycling commuting to world standards don't match up Its becoming increasing clear that the Cadel Evans Cycleway or College St bike path is a white elephant. In a frenzy of spin City Council defends its action. But the dozens of car spaces lost, hacking & tearing up Hyde Park; with the public seeing it empty doesn't ensure a good future for Sydney's bike network This is not good value for ratepayers money

Sorry this video is up so late. Most of it is fireworks but you will see footages of my friends and I here and there :P MY DAY: I live in Sydney. My boyfriend and I drove to the city which took about 40 mins and we parked in Wilson's parking on Kent st and it was only $10 for the whole entire day so it was good. Except on the way back from the city my boyfriend took one wrong turn and we ended up getting stuck in the city for a good hour or so LOL damn it! You make one mistake in the city and you'll find yourself very lost when you drive :( Anyways we stayed in the city for the 9pm fireworks and sat near the night club Pontoon to watch them. We were actually sitting in front of blackbird restaurant. We had front row seating cos we got to the city nice and early and met up with 4 of our other friends. Before it had hit midnight we had to make our way by foot to The Rocks on George street to get to the Harbour Bridge. Longest walk ever! Kinda felt short though because they closed off the main road for pedestrians and it made the route go along faster. There were so many people in the city but it wasn't as horrible as people told me it would be. People weren't pushing and shoving at me to get around. By midnight my boyfriend and I made our way to the Habour Bridge, we just stood right under it because everywhere else was packed! We could see the Opera House from where we were standing and all the beautifully decorated boats near the bridge :D Twas a very good night for me ...
